Campbell Town
Campbell Town is just 45 minutes drive from Launceston, 90 minutes from Hobart or Devonport, and less
than an hour from the sunny East Coast.
Situated on the banks of the Elizabeth River, Campbell Town is an historic settlement in the midst of
a rural environment.
Of particular interest is the Red Bridge which was built in 1836-38, and is the oldest convict built
brick bridge in Australia.
Be warned! Campbell Town now has a serious shopping precinct with exclusive leather goods, RM Williams
clothing, tempting confectionary, hand crafted teddies and trendy homewares… not to forget the antique
shops, bakery, supermarket, Post Office and ATMs all within easy lunchtime walking distance from The New
Grange.
