If you are a regular to The Grange, you may have noticed a small change in the staff. We have sent Gary away to focus on the finer things in life. After many hard years work building the Grange Meeting & Function Centre from the ground up, Gary & June have decided to pass the management over to myself. I would like to thank both Gary & June for everything that they have set up. The Grange is a fantastic business that is comfortable, in a great spot and well though out.

For those who have not met me yet, my name is Ash King. I have over 14 years experience in the Tasmanian hospitality and tourism sector. I love this industry and the people in which i get to look after daily. In the past, i have had the opportunity to manage Cafes, Hotels, Accommodation and luckily enough, conference centres. I have already met many of our clients in a previous job, which makes this new chapter much easier! I look forward to working with you all and taking The Grange into the next step.

Some changes we are starting on this month are:

1- New website! If you are reading this, then you will of noticed that the main website has been updated. This will make it easier to browse our website via mobile too. Our developers are working like mad to update our booking system (which many of you have asked about) We are hoping for a more modern, user friendly and quick booking page that you will find a breeze to use. Stay tuned for this.

2- We are working on an updated menu. This will all coincide with the new booking page. We are going to focus on fresh, healthy, handmade and of course yummy! Never fear, our scones will not be going anywhere, especially after being told they are not just the best in town, but the best in the state!

3- Bringing some extra atmosphere to The Grange. This is something that is important to me. I would like to have spaces that help our clients relax, be social and focus on what they are here for. I would like to do this by bringing some light music into our shared spaces, bringing some greenery inside and providing something different for break out spaces.

4- Bringing some events to the Grange that are open to the public. I have some great ideas which include dinners, music, theater and fun. We have a great space that is ready for large groups and i intend to make the most of it. If you would like to know more, like us on Facebook and stay tuned for events!

If you have any suggestions, please email me at manager@thegrange.com.au

I look forward to seeing you all at The Grange, please feel free to come and say hello to me. You won’t miss me, just look up!

Cheers,
Ash
